Congress has summoned several mayors to explain what they mean by "sanctuary."

I can't wait to see what Brandon Johnson has to say.

My guess is that it'll turn out that they mean very little by "sanctuary city". That the "sanctuary city" rhetoric is actually empty pandering to the luxury beliefs of their voting bases. They can sip their chardonnay in their bubble baths and feel content that they live in a "sanctuary city", for which there are no actual prices to pay.
