China did it by adding more coal-fired electricity-generating capacity per year than the U.K. has in total.
But we could do it with modern nuclear generators if we made their regulation sane and proportionate to other sources.
Greenland would be a nice safe place to build a few nuclear reactors…
I think there is coal under the ice.
And lots of geothermal.
