Trump just deplaned. Newsom met him on the tarmac.

I have a great story for you guys. I've eluded to part of it, but the whole thing is fascinating and now is a good time to tell it.
During (I think) the 2018 fires, Trump and his FEMA director and a couple others, including Don Jr, went to CA to see the damage. Newsom took them around in a big chopper with one of his aids (presumably his emergency mgmt guy).
The first hand report I got was that they all got along like gangbusters, laughing and joking (my contact's words) 'like they were old fraternity brothers who hadn't seen each other in 20 years'. Reminder, Don Jr was there who is/was engaged to Newsom's ex.
I have personally with my own eyes seen a selfie taken of the whole group on the chopper. Smiles, arms around each other. Buddies.
Apparently, after the tour ended and the presidential team went on its way, Newsom gave some press conference where he totally dissed Trump (he didn't elaborate, but I would imagine he was blaming global warming to pin it on GOP policies, I'm sure we could find a video of the press conference.
Trump was livid and called his FEMA guy and said "I want you to stop all aid to CA". FEMA guy replied, like always when he received such calls, "I'll see what I can do that is consistent with the law, Mr President"
