    I didn’t want to disrupt Mark’s thread, but it got me to thinking. I lost my Mom in my very early 30’s. Karla and I had just been married and we had just discovered that Karla was pregnant with Lucas when she went.

    I almost feel that I was fortunate in that. I feel like it would have been much worse 10 years later. 10 more years of being my mother and 9 years of being Luke’s grandmother…

      I was in my late 30s. The boy came a few months later. I wish she had gotten to hold him.

      The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.

        Yeah, similar situation, but I almost feel that it would have been worse.
