The left side of my body thinks that I hate it right now…

A month ago I put a screw through my left thumbnail (long story)… The nail is still healing, but is extremely sensitive. Every day something brushes the thumb and it’s like a bolt of electricity…
Two nights ago, I was walking the effing chihuahua, our neighbors hadn’t cleaned their sidewalk very well, and I fell hard. Ended up smacking the hell out of my left hand and stoving my middle finger (the same one that I broke and had a very poor surgery result with a few years back)… On the plus side, my thumb is feeling much better…
Then, I had to get up at 5:30 this morning… As I am stumbling down the stairs to get to the coffee maker, I slip on the fucking carpet and went down hard. My left foot managed to knock out 2 wooden balusters, and get pretty scratched up along the way. Damn near dislocated my left thumb as well.
This year is off to a helluva start.

Sweet.
Be grateful that the right side is (probably) OK.

Oh, the appendix is almost always on the right side.

Yea but the spleen is on the left and much more likely to get injured in a fall

Meh… The serious damage will far more likely be to my liver or kidneys and have nothing to do with a fall….

Sorry to hear about your Rob Petrie style of welcoming in the new year.
Hope you mend quickly. I had my right knee give out on me while descending the basement stairs the day before New Year's Eve. Felt like something snapped in the back of the knee and down I went. Painful as hell and I could not walk on it for a couple of hours. I could use a cane but was still in a lot of pain. Went to CC and they x-rayed the knee. That came back negative. On Meloxicam for two weeks then to see an ortho doc on the 29th.
