Hawaii, North Carolina, California. This current fire disaster will be different. It will even be different from previous California fires.
This disaster has affected the limousine liberals and one of the two media hubs of America. Unlike the first two disasters mentioned, the response will not only be enormous, it will be prolonged.
That's one way it will be different.
Another way I think it might be different is the political fallout. I think this ends Newsom's POTUS aspirations. It might even end much of DEI at the local and state political level. And I certainly think water rights, smelt protection and forest management will undergo revision.
What say you?

That is a lot of liberals looking for homes.
If they all head the same direction it will upset a lot of property values and political landscapes.

It is hard to believe the scope of this.
I'm watching video of waterfront homes on the PCH in Malibu burned to the ground. These home are on the beach - right in the sand just a few feet from the water. The fire crossed the road and destroyed everything.

DEI is dead. You can't pretend fire departments aren't actually meaningful beyond the complexion of skin, and sexual preference, of those in charge.

Because inferiors were given positions with responsibilities that did not suit them.
Caught in a trap.
