Noonan: The President Who Wasn’t There

I end speculating on why the Biden White House and those close to them might have felt justified in misleading the public about the president’s true state. It isn’t only “Trump,” and “Biden’s the only one who can unite the party and beat him.” It was Ronald Reagan. It is Democratic Party gospel, their deep belief, that Reagan while president, certainly in the last years of his presidency, was neurologically damaged, that his Alzheimer’s had already begun, that he was an old man of 77 who was barely there.

Here I ask those reading online to hit on this link to Reagan’s last news conference as president. For those not online, it’s available at the Reagan Library site. Watch it.

That news conference took place on Dec. 8, 1988, six weeks before he left office. It was live, in prime time, wide-ranging, and covered the world. Compare it with what you have seen of Mr. Biden the past few years.

It took her only 4 years to discover this? If Ms. Noonan has written an earlier column questioning Biden's mental acuity, I must have missed it.

It's a ceremonial position where on any given day, it could be of extraordinary importance. But 99% of the days, the president can hide, and he has the management infrastructure to do so.

      Education is extremely important.

This entire spectacle makes it sickening that leftist journalists are all running around right now worrying that Donald Trump’s lawsuits against the press will cause them to “self-censor.” As if they haven’t been aerobically self-censoring for the last four years.

Interesting that Mrs Wilson in her book says it was Wilson’s neurologist who convinced her he could recover and shouldn’t resign and that she could just help communicate his views.

I looked it up, the good doctor died 8 years before she published her book.

Rasmussen (which admittedly leans right) said recently that the trust level for legacy media has fallen to a new low, with less than 1/3 of Americans trusting the MSM.

I’m waiting for the tell-all book with the juicy details. Probably by someone named ‘anonymous’.

                Or Ashley.

Wait, that book is already been written.

The guy who wrote the treasonous book during Trump's first term moved from a white house position paying maybe 100k a year, directly to Google, where he served some government liaison position compensated at several million per year.

I wonder what exactly Google believes they purchased for that salary. What value does a government bureaucrat provide to a business like Google?

The guy who wrote the "adults in the room are controlling Trump, so don't worry, public who elected him" book. The book started as an anonymous op-ed in the NYT, then was published in book form. He eventually unmasked, and that's how I know the next steps in his remarkably remunerative story.
