Can you summarize it for those of us who've taken a couple of Tylenol?

Trump stepped on his own dick. Seriously? Take the 10 minutes and watch it.

21 minutes. I dipped in.
It's obvious that this is a massive own goal for Trump. Stupidity and arrogance is never a good combination, and he's surrounded himself with a bunch of toadies who just do what he tells them because for some reason or other.
I don't really like Jimmy Kimmel's tearful shit.

There’s another good take…

Dont know much about either guy (Rogan or Kimmel)
Joe Rogan has rushed to the defense of Jimmy Kimmel over the 'joke' that got him pulled from the air, while calling the Trump administration 'crazy' for going after the late-night host.
On his podcast Tuesday, Rogan slammed Kimmel's suspension over his comments about Charlie Kirk as an affront to free speech, warning that those who hailed the decision could face similar consequences.
and
The host also poked fun at Trump's reaction to the shooting.
'This is not how an adult grieves the murder of someone he calls a friend,' he said. 'This is how a four-year-old mourns a goldfish.'

"Get off my lawn!!"
(Unless you're my granddaughter, and then you can film a commercial video for your clothing line using the White House for promotion).
Link to videoMaybe this should go under the "continuing grift" forum thread.

So Hegseth is wants to pull the press credentials of any organization that does acrual reporting about the DoD.
That’s right. They have to sign a doc that says they will only propagate official statements and quote approved spokesmen and won’t seek to talk to any non-approved sources.
It’s looking really embarrassing for him.

“Today, we join virtually every other news organization in declining to agree to the Pentagon’s new requirements, which would restrict journalists’ ability to keep the nation and the world informed of important national security issues. The policy is without precedent and threatens core journalistic protections. We will continue to cover the U.S. military as each of our organizations has done for many decades, upholding the principles of a free and independent press," Fox News said in a statement emailed to Newsweek, which was joined by ABC News, CBS News, CNN and NBC News.

If you click through to the source complainer, one Ms Loomer, there doesn’t seem to be much of any doxxing going on. Rather it’s just saying where ICE is conducting raids.
Makes sense given that, if you’re worried about ICE you just want to avoid them, and also they seem to wear masks and not display name tags. It would be pretty hard to doxx individual agents in practice.
-
I assume ‘ICE tracking sites are getting people killed’ is a lie? I haven’t followed too closely but I’m guessing that had an ICE agent been killed I would have been blamed by Trump and his cabinet along with everyone else who didn’t vote for him. Like what happened with Charlie Kirk (who by the way didn’t turn 32 today).

I'll just assume that there's no actual doxing, for the sake of argument. As far as I'm aware, this conversation during Biden's term, stopped with "private businesses can do whatever they want". There was much prancing around misconceptions of free speech. As it happens, Bondi wants to brag about outreach, where the Biden admin kept it under wraps. I'm not a fan of government leaning on social media sites to moderate content, but I'm sure there's a legal and ethical conversation to be had when these social media groups are being used to organize efforts to harass law enforcement and make it more difficult for them to do their jobs.

harass law enforcement and make it more difficult for them to do their jobsspread misinformation that can result in increased deaths in real human beings.Agreed but I’d still prefer they respect the platform’s independence even if the stakes are material.

Since when did it become OK for law enforcement to wear masks?
