One of my favorite pieces of leftist hysteria of recent memory was on Al Franken's podcast, an episode entitled "the coming hellscape", where his guest said that Trump would pardon Jan 6ers in order to create a personal militia to do his illegal biddings. Franken nodded solemnly.
I hope the commando teams of those seriously trained military types go easy on those who haven't criticized Trump too seriously.

I posted this to FB this morning as I woke to hear of the pardons.....
Have to get this out of the way as I wake today to learn of the Biden pardons. Haven't read anything as yet on social media but I will bet my paycheck it's full of MAGA binary conclusions that this is proof of "biden crime family" "corrupt J6 committee", "corrupt Fauci, Milley", et al.
No folks, it's only proof that the Republican Propaganda Machine has been very successful in turning the minds of normal decent folk into scrambled brains of hate for other decent normal people who have done nothing more than their duty for this country. The only thing Biden neglected to do with the handing out of these pardons was not to also award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Bennie Thompson, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinsinger, Zoe Lofgren, Adam Schiff, Jamie Raskin(our next president), Pete Aguilar, Stephanie Murphy, Elaine Luria, Mark Milley, and Anthony Fauci.
This is what the Right has learned, how to successfully take power and keep the masses on their side. The side that only has one true mandate, to cater to the wealthy at the expense of everyone else. Morality and Shame have long left the building with their repetitive lies that easily become one's truth when repeated ad nauseam. Thanks Rupert, thanks Rush, you figured it out. How to make wheelbarrows of money and turn the people against each other. Heck Joe, at least Trump awarded Rush the medal, only reinforcing to MAGA that Rush spoke nothing but the truth. lol!
I do believe there will be a day to come, where Truth will come out in full display to show the whole world how history will be written for this era of Trump. And when it does, stand back and take shelter folks, there will be millions of heads literally exploding from the shock that they were deceived this whole time. I am sorry friends and fellow Americans, that you have come to your conclusions that are as false as the Easter Bunny and Santa. The reason for the pardons were because of the corrupt intentions of a man attempting to rewrite history. He will fail in the end. But I am afraid it is now time for all of us to take shelter for the shit storm that is coming. -
I will not argue that the Trump camp is pure and wholesome. But to not at least acknowledge the corrupt actions of the Democrats over the last 8 years is to be worse than blind.

I was told the J6 pardons would be on a case by case basis. I guess the ones who aren't pardoned will be case by case. I guess that makes sense. Way more prosecutions of nothing burger offenses than prosecutions of real assaults and vandalism.
I will trust the media to inform us of the scariest people included in these 1500 pardons.

Biden DOJ: Fauci admits guilt.
After President Joe Biden issued an eleventh-hour preemptive pardon for Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former chief medical adviser to the president told POLITICO he has “committed no crime” but appreciates the pardon.
The long-time National Institutes of Health scientist drew ire from Republicans for the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic and was expected to be targeted with legal action under the incoming Trump administration, as several Republican congresspeople and allies of the president-elect — including Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist — have threatened retribution.
In a statement to POLITICO outlining his service at the NIH, including advising seven presidents, from Ronald Reagan to Biden, Fauci said he’s been the subject of politically motivated threats of investigation and prosecution.
“Let me be perfectly clear: I have committed no crime and there are no possible grounds for any allegation or threat of criminal investigation or prosecution of me,” he said.
