What bothers me about the trump veterans brouhaha

Even FoxNews confirmed the reporting.
Kelly had ‘no comment’.

I’ll wait for Don Jr to chime in thankyouverymuch.
-
What gets me is a couple of things
- There is evidence that the flight to the cemetery was cancelled because of weather.
- The cemetery story broke 2 years ago. If, at the time, Goldberg knew about Trumps remarks, why withhold it, other than to launch it again, as a "September Surprise?"
- (Tinfoil hat on, dovetailing with #2) - The major shareholder of The Atlantic donated more than $500,000 to Biden in June - political pressure to resurrect the story?
- The 'Stache denies it happened, and also writes about the cancellation of the flight in his book.
- What Bach said.
-
I don’t see how the weather is exculpatory. He could not go because of the weather and still make the comments.

A couple of years ago, it was "Trump says he didn't go because of weather, that's a lie."
Well, yeah, flight was scrubbed because of weather.
Then it was "he could have driven."
I've read that for him to drive, he would have been too far away from Air Force One/Marine One. I have no other knowledge beyond that.

Even if someone named came out, they’d be called a disgruntled liar.
Unless Trump admits these sort of things or says them on tape, they don’t matter.
Even then, it doesn't matter. Excuses will be made as they always have.

@Jolly said in What bothers me about the trump veterans brouhaha:
It's a crock. Unnamed sources saying it happened vs. anybody who was there saying it didn't.
If it wasn't Trump, it would never have been published.
Maybe the people who heard those disparaging remarks first hand will come out, one or two a week, drip drip drip in the next few weeks.

Every time this stuff comes out it’s an anonymous source.
No, sometimes it's a former administration figure who then gets tarred and feathered by Trump supporters for being
disloyaldisgruntled. -

Not necessarily. Sometimes there are recordings, like Romney’s “47 percent” recording and Trump’s “grab them by the pussy” recording. Then you also have formal Congressional testimonies (e.g., Vindman) and paper trail (e.g., the Stormy Daniel affair). Even more frequently you have Trump himself publicly incriminating himself via tweets or through broadcast TV (e.g., Trump publicly telling some voters to vote twice in the same election).

Haha. Like any Trump allegation survives the scrutiny of a week. So glad you brought this up. Most your duds here don’t even survive 48 hours.

If there is a video tape of President Trump proving he DID NOT say it, half the people will still say - " Doesn't matter. He meant to say it."
And the other half saying - "See, I told you so!"If there is a video tape of President Trump proving he DID say it, half the people will still say - "Doesn't matter. He didn't really mean it."
And the other half saying, "See, I told you so!"LOL
(My personal opinion is that he probably did not say it. Seems like a strange thing to say. President Trump says a lot of goofy things, but I dont think this is one of them.)

If Trump said something that half the people consider bad and half consider good, half the ones who consider it bad would accuse half the other half of believing it wasn't half bad, while half of the other half would consider their cup half full by saying the other half of the half was empty.
