Could have made more money if he'd programmed conservative talk radio.

      Education is extremely important.

That's a shame. But there are still a few independents, one being Jack FM in Springfield OH. We get it well here, and their motto is 'playing whatever we want to'. They live up to it. You can never predict what you're going to hear, unlike classic rock stations where you can set your watch by the song being played.

There's a station in Mansura that doesn't go free form all the time, but they have their moments. On Sunday morning they play American standards from the 1940's - 1960's, followed by mass from the local Catholic church and then the Saints pregame, game and post game. They do a Greaser show during the week with hits and some obscure stuff from the 50's and early 60's. The owner's wife does a show as "Mama CC" and does mostly requests of almost anything before 1990. And they do a farm show, followed by obituary notices, M-F, early morning.

Other than that, they're pretty much classic rock, but they'll play some album cuts occasionally.

You're not a real commercial music radio station if you don't play 'Hotel California' and 'Jack and Diane' at least 18 times a week

            I was only joking
