Hunter Biden Pardoned

JONATHAN TURLEY: "President Biden's decision to use his presidential powers on Sunday to pardon his own son will be a decision that lives in infamy in presidential politics. It is not just that the president used his constitutional powers to benefit his family. It is because the action culminates years of lying to the public about his knowledge and intentions in the influence-peddling scandal surrounding his family. Even among past controversies about the use of this pardon power, Biden has cemented his legacy for many, not as the commander in chief, but as the liar in chief. "

It’s the third pardon of a family member this century.
I wonder what he had to say about Jared’s dad.
-
Should have put it out Wednesday to give families something else to argue about at Thanksgiving.
-
He only had a four week window between Election Day and sentencing.

Farthest reaching pardon since Ford pardoned Nixon.
Yeah. The Nixon pardon included "whatever else he might have done."
I'd submit this is a bigger reach, because it extends to 6 years before POTATUS took office. He's covering his own ass.
What's the over/under for Jim getting pardoned, preemptively? For that matter, can you even pardon someone who's not been convicted or indicted?

Here's an interesting thought I came across.
If Hunter Biden has been pardoned, he has immunity from prosecution for all those (alleged) crimes he committed 2014-2024.
You know what you lose when you're immune from prosecution?
Your 5th amendment right to remain silent.
"Subpoena, it's a beautiful thing."
And if he "declines," Bannonize him.
-
He doesn’t lose his right to not remember anything more than his name and birthdate.

@Doctor-Phibes said in Pardoned:
He should never have made all those prior comments denying he'd ever do it,
Biden is at the DGAF stage of his career.
Who’s to criticise?

. The $80 billion spent annually on corrections is frequently cited as the cost of incarceration, but this figure considerably underestimates the true cost of incarceration by ignoring important social costs.
Pardon all of them - every man, woman and child.
Put them to work chasing illegal aliens.
What a great economic windfall!
