Actually, a couple of years ago, I knew Portland's as well - Ted Wheeler.

But you knew of the Daleys, Rahm Emanuel, maybe Harold Washington. Lightfoot.

      No?

Of course. You didn't mention Byrne and Bilandic.

By the way, I didn’t have unaided recall of Byrne, but with your nudge I remember. I don’t remember Bilandic. Maybe I was overseas then.

Just googled, I was between 8 and 11 when Bilandic served. I get a bye.

But, I just realized, does Portland qualify as a "Big city?" It's #27,

Off topic but I’m going to Phoenix in February. At that point I will have visited the top 19 cities, and 25 of the top 30.

              I visited 24 of the top 30

For some reason, I was thinking the other day that I used to know who was the mayor of the cities mentioned.

No longer. Maybe because we don't all watch the same nightly news anymore.

I forget the name of the mayor of the town where I live. I have met him and talked to him, but I forget his name.

Of course I forget a lot of things now.

The mayor of Denver's name has recently become memorable.

Women tell me, fawningly, that my Johnson is memorable. Therefore every time I hear of someone named Johnson, it reminds me of my Johnson, which I'm told is memorable.

I wholly agree, Jon. Since Lindsay ive always known the NYC mayor’s name, usually the other three major cities too.

Your Johnson is smaller than the mayor's, which contains a T.

Perhaps the Chicago one, but not the Denver one. Or so I might speculate.

A T could make many things difficult.
