NBC did a story on this on their evening newscast. What's interesting is that most of the new needy are working people.
As one pastor put it..."Some people are working and not making survival wages."

I wonder how much of this is immigrant related.
A local church distributes food and other household items on Wednesdays. I often drive by and see the line. Seems 100% Hispanic. The vast majority probably don’t live in town.

I’ve even considered volunteering as I doubt most of the volunteers speak Spanish.

The parents of one of the boy’s buddies volunteer there. I’ll ask them.
