We've got 14 for dinner tomorrow. This wouldn't have been bad a few decades ago when I had the BIG House - but kinda rough in our current home. 10 is easy - 14 is ugly. Still, all of the madness associated with it, I'd gleefully pick up the tab at nice restaurant to avoid all of this. Dreams.

We are having a small get together tonight, then Luke, Fin, and I are headed to my Dad’s tomorrow. Driving back tomorrow night, then a rip roaring partay on Saturday.

We're doing it on Friday. D4 is going to her in-laws on Thursday.

3/4 of the daughters are coming. D4 and G2 and G3 are coming. G1 won't be able to make ti.

I'm making turkey & stuffing. All the sides are on the kids.

Our dining room table seats 6 - should be fine once we establish the "kids' table."

So much easier than what we used to do, with everything on me. Adult kids are good.

But, yeah, @kluurs I feel your pain. I've been to your home and I don't see 14 at your dining room table. Good luck.

We can seat 12 with extensions. 14 would be tough and we have a big dining room. It was a big reason we bought the. House.

Still there will only be three of us. Brining the turkey breast in buttermilk.

              100 is a crowd.

50 is just a friendly gathering.

Survived this. Really tired after everything even with nice people bringing things. Thinking back - people arrived at 2:00 and left at 5:30 - but it seems like everyone was here for a day. Only people sleeping deeper than me tonight are in a grave.

It's amazing how time-consuming and exhausting it is. Lots of dishes?

I'm blessed in that D2 is pro-active in terms of setting the table and helping with cleanup.

How many plates do you own? How many tables and chairs?

Paper plates come in packs of 250… And most of the guys don’t use chairs, they just sit on the tailgates of their pickup. But they probably have a couple of fishing or hunting folding seats in the truck for the ladies.
