We've had one for about 4 years now. I wouldn't be without it.

No, the cat house stays outside. I am told the cat spends the night in the home of a lady with 7 other cats, but she gets bullied and spends the days wandering.

I’ll withhold judgment until I hear the other cats’ versions of events.

We are cat people as of a few days ago. She made the 25 hour plane ride. She has her own room here because it’ll take some time for her and the dog to cohabit. It’s a comfy room though.

She is remarkably cuddly. In only a few days she has trusted me enough to come when I call her and lay down next to me. She loves getting scratched under the chin.

Thanks Blondie! Regarding the flight, we were told that she refused to eat or drink anything the whole time. She had connections in Taiwan and Los Angeles before getting to Houston. When we got her at the airport, she seemed nearly comatose in her carrier. We were a little worried, but she recovered quickly after we finally got her home.

I have had several cats in my life. Not an uncommon behaviour for felines pulled from their familiar environment. I had one cat hide in the basement return air duct for 72 plus hours. We were afraid he’d die there. But no, he emerged went first to the nearby water dish then litter. After that all was okay. Seems that they go into a state of torpor, not unlike hibernating bears, when highly stressed.

Aww... sweet. She has no idea what a world traveler she is.

Our 3 have just about had it. We've been under construction since early December and they have to be confined to the upstairs bedrooms during the workday. Hopefully that's done this week. But my Cosmo is still the sweetest, most affectionate of the three. She loves to come up and sit on my chest in bed when I waked up and then here's snuggle time when we're watching TV.

Don’t know. He was a nine week old kitten so I suppose it was being suddenly taken away from his mama and litter mates.

He was a great cat. Really laid back.

@horace please continue to post pics. Little Huahua is bringing back good memories.
Speaking of disappearing kitties, when we moved into our old place we released the beasts and all 3 managed to find places to duck and hide out. Our skinny one (the brown classic tabby pic above) discovered a void accessed through a built-in bookcase that extended behind our gas fireplace exiting to the bookcase on the other side. I panicked. No one could see how wide or narrow or tall that space was or how the pipe connected to the outside of the house. But he exited. He was just being a cat. We then blocked both bookcases with books.
