I don’t see how Putin can reap financial benefit from widening the conflict. It’s not like Russia will ever be the one owed reparations.

He has decided to antagonise Trump. Putin has a mob boss mentality and right now he’s behaving more like “Crazy Joe” Gallo than Carlo Gambino.

Probably not, but he hasn’t proven himself to be a master strategist internationally anyway. Incorrect assumptions could well guide him.

Have we ever officially determined whether Jon would hit that? I mean, obviously he would have if there was no Trump affiliation, but with the Trump affiliation, would Jon be able to stomach going where DJT went?
