An aside...
Before she met me, Mrs. George dated a polo player. They kept the polo ponies in a barn, not far from the hospital housing in which she lived at the time. It used to be the Chicago Armory.
Anyway, one day, the fellow that she was dating said that if she wanted to ride one of the ponies all she had to do was ask the groom if she could borrow one of the horses for a ride around the arena. So, one day she did exactly that. She got up onto this polo pony, and the first thing this horse did was takeoff like a crazy animal. This pony is galloping around the arena at full speed, and Mrs. George can't stop him.
She yelled out to the groom. "How do I stop this horse! "
The groom replied "Oh, Otis? He ain't got no brakes. "

Apparently, Otis' elevator didn't go all the way to the top.
