    Not the first White House invite to be declined.

    Further speculation had followed over whether the Eisenhowers would call on the President and First Lady before Inauguration Day, as was customary. Truman's hopes, it was said, "remained touching-ly, almost boyishly high" that the tradition would be honored, and when the Eisenhowers declined an invitation to lunch, he felt insulted. Reportedly the general did not wish to enter the house until he was President.

      @blondie

      I don’t really blame her..

      Nor do I. Besides, it’s not like she’s ever been to WH before and needs a tour. As well, serves nothing more than a protocol checkbox and decorum anyway.

      I wonder if Grover Clevland’s wife was invited for tea second time round he was in the WH?

          Nope, but I did see Dr. Jill walking with The Resident on the beach. He was stumbling along.. She could have at least helped him...

                Fake news.

                It's DOCTOR Jill Biden.

                  Her husband answered all the questions. He deserved to be the nominee.

                    No surprise. But, I really dont think that VP Harris was smart enough or powerful enough to get President Biden to drop out. I think she was in the spot at the time.

                    Jill Biden is giving her too much credit. Not sure if she expected VP Harris to turn down the nomination or what?

                      This has nothing to do with Harris being the nominee. She doesn’t hate Harris because she thought Harris manipulated the party… Jill and Joe manipulated Harris. They endorsed her as the heir successor as a giant FU to Pelosi, Obama, and the rest of the party.

                      No, Jill has detested Kamala since before they asked her to be Joe’s running mate. She’s hated her since Kamala attacked Joe as a racist and segregationist during the 2019/2020 primaries. She’s always hated Harris. She just doesn’t have to hide it anymore.

                      Oddly enough, though, she’s quite taken with Doug.
