You know, I think a fair number of the regressive are actually looking forward to this. They love LARPing. They LARP as women pretending to be men and vice versa. They LARP as Animated Animals. They LARP that they are Palestinians living under the cruel weight of Jewry. Now they get to LARP as the French Resistance living under Nazi rule… They’ll love it.

Yes that aspect is always there. TDS pieces shrieking about the death of our Democracy and various fascistic scenarios are genre fiction, and hit the same spot in a media diet as true crime does. Role playing makes it feel more real and exciting, and there will be plenty of that.

The Majority Report is my mainstay for progressive punditry. They take themselves so seriously, and they produce such non serious content. It’s compelling in its way, and it’s always interesting to listen to people with self righteous cultural programming, running that programming.
