Mike Waltz - Florida congressman - will be National Security Advisor.
Florida should be safe enough for an election or Governor appointment.

I have to wonder what made President-Elect Trump announce that he's not considering Haley or Pompeo. Surely he could have declined, or told them they're not in the running in person.
To stop speculation?
I think he's still a little miffed with Haley. Pompeo? I thought he'd use him for something...Maybe he still will.
Remember that Pompeo’s statements post January 6th about Trump weren’t damning per se, but also didn’t paint Hlorious Leader in splendor…

Not cabinet, but Mike Huckabee was just named Ambassador to Israel.

Good choice.

He has a plan and he has things he wants to accomplish. I think he’s only counting on 2 years and he doesn’t want to go through 2 years like he did in the first administration.

Only two years of undivided government?
That tracks. Even beyond the normal anti-incumbent backlash they have an unfavorable map in 2026. Nate posted about it today.
What astounds me about Trump is his inability to stump and pull others across the finish line. I mean, all he would need to do is send a message… “Arizonans, if you’re voting for me, I also need you to vote for———- for Senate/Congress. No matter your personal opinions about the candidate, I can’t do what you want me to do without having a clear majority in Congress. A vote for me is wasted without ———-“ But he doesn’t do it. I don’t think he wants to admit he needs the others.

I don't know if this is true, but I saw someone say that this is not the first time that a presidential winner didn't have long enough coattails to pull a senate candidate across.
But, it's the first time that it happened in three states at the same election.

IHT but who is she?
Alina Habba - one of his attorneys.

splitting the ticket for an intentionally divided government is a high IQ move.
It’s an interesting Senate. Remember that 3 of the Republicans are Romney, Murkowski, and Collins… And whoever DeSantis appoints to replace Rubio. I wouldn’t assume that to be a Trump Loyalist…
