I agree it looks a little off but, while he might be able to pull off a body double up on stage, in an environment like that where people are going to converse with her it wouldn’t even be conceivable.

Maybe Melania is doing just that, and she's got this poor innocent creature to fill in for her while she's away. The dark glasses definitely look a bit Salem's Lot to me.
