Well, he got all the Nazi-ing wrong from 2017-2021, so there's nothing to show that he won't try again, right?

It sure wasn’t economics for me. I’m paying through the nose to live in a superior culture. Worth it.

Now he’s trying to convince one of the posters there to torpedo her academic career rather than publish something incidentally critical of Trump. The self styled adults in the room are in desperate need of an adult in the room. But they don’t have one. Well, Mik is doing his best. Good luck Mik.

                You hooked me again.

The advice not to publish is stupid. If she's scared of blow-back or doxxing, just leave the names off and publish. It's on linguistic styles, anyway. As long as the research is sound and unbiased, no problem.

Just how many people are going to read it, anyway?

Why is is that when a certain former poster used to Barge in and post what was clearly errant nonsense he was hailed as having insider knowledge and great intelligence and those of us who called him on it to his face were essentially accused of bullying, but it's perfectly fine to post about this kind of stuff when the posters aren't even here to respond?

I don't think those responses are any more stupid than those of the people who bought into the massive election fraud of 2020. Obviously, it's generally much easier to spot when people who are less adjacent to our own views are being really dumb.

These are just the dumbest takes. These are all public forums, without real dividing lines between them.

I don't think those responses are any more stupid than those of the people who bought into the massive election fraud of 2020. Obviously, it's generally much easier to spot when people who are less adjacent to our own views are being really dumb.

There's buying into weakly substantiated theories of voter fraud, and then there's self-sabotaging in meaningful ways, out of paranoia brought on by true belief in political fear mongering narratives.

                            Education is extremely important.

I remember some irony. One of the professors over there, during the first TDS pandemic of 2016 to 2020, was on record that if he worked with anybody who supported Trump, he would quietly attempt to professionally marginalize them as much as possible. This raised no eyebrows, as it is a known thing that people with his mind virus would do. The Trump retribution against wrong-thinkers, on the other hand, is paranoia about extremely fanciful scenarios. This is the difference between the children and the adults in the room. Knowledge and acceptance of actual reality, vs paranoia about fanciful scenarios that would, even in the worst case, merely match what the other side has always lived with.

                              Education is extremely important.
