Another paraphrase from the same interview... Sometimes I close my eyes and I hear Ronnie singing lead. Course, Johnny had the same daddy, ate the same food and grew up in the same place. Be a wonder if he didn't sound like his brother.

BTW, Johnny has another brother, Donnie Van Zant, who sings lead for .38 Special.
The two brothers do occasionally sing together, but it's probably different from what you are expecting ...
