Yes, we need more illegal immigrants...

Pretty much everything seems to be getting blamed on immigrants at the moment, from lack of hurricane relief, to disappearing pussy, and now inflation.
It must be fucking awesome to be a migrant.

BIL and I were talking...Both here and in Florida, a lot of the grunt jobs or trades are now mostly Mexican. Roofers, concrete workers, framers, brick layers, etc.
Contractors are making money. The workers, not so much. The Americans that used to do those jobs, maybe no money at all or maybe a lot less.

Yes, but that's not really what the article was talking about, which was inflation. If anything, I would have thought that using migrant workers keeps inflation lower, although clearly it creates other problems.
And yes, obviously the US has a big problem with illegal immigration, but blaming everything on damn foreigners gets a bit tiresome. Particularly if you're a damn foreigner.
With the shrinking birth-rate and increasing number of American geriatrics, you might need some foreigners to look after you in your dotage.

I was having a bathoom redone. I was quoted a price by the contractor--$12,000+
I asked the worker (Juan) how much he was getting--$700.I probably should have gone with the contractor. 6 weeks into a 3 week job.

We went with a contractor for our new deck. At two years into a 4 week job, and a couple of thousand lost to the ages, we went with an actual deck company.

I built my own deck and my wife and I renovated two bathrooms ourselves. I did the carpentry, plumbing and tile cutting and she did the tiling of the walls and floors. Took time but saved a pile of money.
This week we just completed a major retaining wall and landscaping job in the backyard. Probably the last DIY landscaping job.

What do you think the bathroom quote would have been?
As I have say before, people vote with their wallets.
As @Doctor-Phibes said, illegal immigrants can mean a lot of problems, but inflation is probably way way down on the list.
