ill give u a short version of what im hearing here.

first of all, the idea was to create a scenario where they would not feel compelled to respond. its not in our (current) intrest to fight a war on three fronts. so the crown jewels, the nuclear sites and the oil was off limits. im thinking the same about regime symbols, like revolutionary guard HQ or khamenis house, these would make the regime look weak, and foment unrest and require them to respond.

so targets were away from the limelight, enough to cause damage and send a message, not enough to push too hard.

strikes were done at night to minimize loss of life and concentrate just on the hardware.

as for what was struck, obviously air defense would be the first target to allow freedom of airspace, but its more than that. im hearing all the S300 and S400 air defense sites in Iran were destroyed. the issue is, they are all russian manufactured, and to expect now for putin to quickly replace all that hardware when he has his own war to fight is a bit of a problem for vlad.

the other target was ballistic missile capability. because thats the threat iran holds over us. im hearing vague descriptions of a "critical" component of missile capability being targeted, ive heard some saudi report that it involves some sort of fuel mixer (i dont really know what this means) that costs millions to replace, and may put back missile production by a year or two.

as it is, Iran is playing everything down, meaning we may have succeeded in getting just the right amount of damage without them losing too much face, (none of this will be allowed to be reported in Iran) and keep the populace in the dark, since most targets were well away from civilian areas, (although tehranis definitly heard the booms not too far away.

it will be a while before the full story leaks out, as im sure it will.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-300_missile_system

    Iran received four S-300PMU2 batteries from Russia in 2016, each consisting of a 96L6E target-acquisition radar, a 30N6E2 target-engagement radar, and four 5P85TE2 towed transporter-erector-launchers (TELs).[133]

reported here that all four knocked out

Yes obvious fake photo (those patches…?) but there was some press on the fact that the aircrews of the fighter jets on the Iran strike included four women.

I don’t think there was anything particularly mysterious about the incident:
