The Iran thread

Just a suggestion As things are getting messy with the ME war threads, I suggest we leave the pagers thread for the northern front, we already have a Hamas thread for the southern front, so this will be the most critical thread of all, the Iran one.

I’ll start with this threat, seen on X and reported in this mornings news here.

I think it’s a sign of hubris that now Iran is threatening to attack US interests directly (allied oil resources ) if Israel responds.

And obviously a goad to maybe draw the US into the conflict.

I don’t know how this will play out, don’t think anyone does.

But this thread is the one to highlight it.

Let the games begin.

I may be wrong, but it sounds like a bluff. They've already been attacking US interests through the Houthis and we've done very little.

It's a bit about conforming to history. The management of Iran is already located back in the dark ages, why not put the economics of the country in the same status? There is no reason Iran should be allowed to deliver such a vicious and random attack on the citizens of Israel. Individual citizens should not be hurt but Iran should be rendered economically unworkable. It's time to neuter Iran.
