    Finally! Truth, Healing and Reconciliation!

NYC council passes slavery reparations legislation to 'yield material solutions' from US history

'We take a crucial step towards justice and equity' one sponsor of the legislation proclaimed

New York City will soon be the largest city in the United States to enact a reparations program.

Councilmembers Crystal Hudson and Farah Louis sponsored a pair of bills to establish a Truth, Healing and Reconciliation Commission and a reparations task force. Both bills passed on Thursday and will be effective immediately.

However, not all New York City councilmembers are happy about the bills.

"I’ll move before I’ll pay," Minority Leader Joseph Borelli told the New York Post. Borelli was one of the 8 councilmembers to vote against the legislation.

"If they can introduce me to one New Yorker who owned a slave I’d be happy to consider it," he added. "But until then, I am not paying a dime as a reparation for a harm I did not cause, nor condone, nor once participated in."

If they could find a single New Yorker that was harmed by slavery maybe that would help too.

Maybe they can find a New Yorker who owned slaves?

You know, the US could afford to pay reparations if it wasn’t for the countless billions we’re having to pay because of the border crisis…I mean, undocumented aliens are getting free college while the great grand children of slaves are themselves shackled by hundreds of thousands of dollars in student debt..
