Saw the highlights, looks like a good game. Love popped a knee in one of the last plays of the game, and will be out for a while. Maybe the season. Reminding me once again why I don't invest myself in the NFL anymore.

In the NFL's official highlight video of the game, 15 minutes long, there is no mention of the injury. They know how frustrating those are to fans, and just sweep them under the rug in all publicity for their games.

66 different QBs started a game last season. It just provides an opportunity for everyone’s favorite player, the backup QB…
Joe Burrow missed significant time last year. The weird thing? He was playing like crap before and the Bengals had a poor record. He went down with the injury (personally, I think he was injured the whole time), his backup came in and led them to 4 wins and damn near got them in the playoffs.
Pittsburgh’s season was toast when they finally got to the 3rd string QB last season. He led them to 3 straight wins and got them into the playoffs, resulting in Pittsburgh completely dismantling their QB room, and causing a lot of people to start questioning Tomlin’s QB evaluation skills. It’s a great story.
Why should a particular favorite player dictate your interest in a team? I love TJ Watt. If he goes down, I am excited to see what Nick Herbig and Demarvin Leal offer in relief. It’s part of the game.

It's good that you feel that way about randomly losing players from the team on a regular basis. I am sure football fandom is an acquired taste, for those who want to go to the trouble of acquiring it. You've even acquired a taste for random loss of players. I am uninterested in the trouble anymore.

Teams hide injuries, especially to QB's.
After he retired, it's come to light that Brees played with broken ribs, plantar fasciitis and his shoulder was shot for his last three years in the league. It's so bad, he has to throw left handed if he's playing with his kids in the yard and it will never recover. His last three...
