You cannot become a U.S. Citizen unless you can read, write and speak basic English.

I'd be for it. Were I to emigrate from here to another country, and that was their expectation, I would be fine with that.

Supposedly FLOTUS speaks five, but that's unproven.
We know for a fact that she speaks at least two, which is probably one more than Midler.
