Outdated Sense of Fashion - Business Attire
-
I walked into a Jos A. Bank clothing store and asked for a pair of pleated pants. The staff told me they don't sell them anymore, all they have are flat front pants.
I haven't stop business attire maybe for the last 8~10 years. The business suites I bought back then all had pleated pants. Quite surprised to find that pleated pants are out of fashion now.
For those of you who recently shopped for business suits, what the fashion trend these days?

Lots of pleats

Visited a Men's Warehouse and a Nordstrom, neither stocks any pleated pants. (Nordstrom has pleated pants online as demonstrated by @xenon's link, but none in the brick-and-mortar store I visited.)
Also, "slim fit" seems to be in vogue these days. I see more "slim fit" in stock than "regular" or "classic" fit. As if Americans have gotten slimmer over the last decade. :man-shrugging:

Isn't slim fit a style that has come over from Europe? Germans in particular always seem to have suits that look slightly too small for them. I rather doubt that the look is improved by the journey across the pond.
