Spider in My Shower

In my shower this morning in the top corner was a spider.
The bathroom is not on an outside wall, and the shower is fully tile with no real openings other than the shower door.
It started me thinking where and how that spider got there??!!
I wish I had a tracker so I could follow him.
I am guessing that in a big single family house, there are generations of spiders who are born, live and die within the house, thinking that is their whole world.

LOL. I know that most of what they do is instinct, not brains. So I imagine it just kind of wandering around until it finds a wall and climbs up it. But why did it continue going until it found the bathroom, found the shower, etc.?
