I haven't heard any reason why this happened.

The priest sounded like he might think the attacker is just plain crazy. I didn't hear anything political or racial motivation.

I handled a claim once for a Denny's restaurant. A customer in the middle of a meal got up, flagged down a waitress, and asked for a steak knife.

Once armed, he stabbed a guy in another booth.

After my first shift at a late-night bakery, my co-workers took me out to the only diner still open. There were two cops behind us who were waiting on a table. The host was an old, bald black guy with a goofy multi-colored tie that said GRANDPA in yellow, Cooper Black font. Nice guy.

Teenage miscreants were causing some shit in the corner when we were seated. I took one sip of coffee and watched Grandpa choke-slam the SHIT out of one of them. I'm talking he gripped the kid's throat, kid's feet left the ground, and he was slammed on the floor. Completely got the wind knocked out of him. He couldn't cough for a full minute.

Cops did nothing. Actually yeah they did, they kicked the kids out on their ass after the one on the ground could get up.

This incident pretty much set the stage for my entire time at that job. Multiple times a week there was shit like that.

Oh the coffee was pretty good actually.
