Yay, vacation covid.

Arrived in San Francisco about an hour ago. He’s still positive, but the test stripe took longer to appear than yesterday. I’m still negative after two days in the car with him, but with either the top down and him masked or top up, windows open, and both of us masked. We might just get through this without me getting it.

Does that have any correlation to either the severity of the infection or transmissibility thereof?
Could just be a sampling random event - "We happened to swab the area with the most virus."

Mrs. Kluurs is immuncompromised from her radiation/chemo - and was around me for 36 hours of symptoms and then 3 weeks we tried to keep apart - but still shared the same home - and she successfully dodged Covid. She's still never had it (please knock on wood for me). Hopefully, you'll get through this w/o sharing.

Had a couple of positives this morning. Definitely gong around.
The guy at Rite Aid told me on Saturday that the government is going to reinstate the free Covid test program.
In the past I always had loads of free ones, not least because I was dating a public school teacher and NYC DoE gave them out like candy.
Now I’m buying them, and it’s like $10 a test. The boy and I are doing them daily.

The faster it turns the higher the viral load is how it’s described. I think Jon is pretty on point with it being pretty representative.
