If neither party can get the carried interest exception out of the tax code, this one ain’t never going to pass.

This has absolutely zero chance of ever getting through both houses, and I seriously doubt it could get through either one.

Something is going to give, sooner or later. The debt is horrible, Social Security is on the rocks and the world is becoming a scarier place, which affects defense spending.

They (Washington) won't cut social program spending, so they must have more tax revenue.

Would you prefer to tax capital gains, as proposed in the Dem Platform?

Imagine trying to figure out the unrealized capital gains in your family plumbing business.

I'm sure the IRS would work it out.
