      My neighbor has one, but it's light metallic blue. Gorgeous.

        I feel terrible I missed this! Nice car, would love me any nice convertible lol.

        Saturday was the end of a collector car auction I actually threw a few bids on. It was in out-of-the way Pasco, Washington. (Think Hanford Nuclear Reservation). I kind of hoped for $1-3k I might snag a real deal, but everything eventually inched out of range.

        Deal of the auction was a very nice first gen Buick Riviera for under $8,000. There was a C3 Corvette convertible with 4 speed stick that went for under $17k, probably close to $5k under market value.

        If I had the money I would have continued bidding on a mid-60's 4dr Caddy that was in beautiful shape. It went for $5,600.

                @Mik

                I prefer the quad headlight 50's 'vettes up to 1967 (my dream year) but do have a soft spot for 1968-73 years because one was on my paper route in the early 70's. Plus the Mako Shark years are still affordable.

                    I do like the Riv.

                    I had a '68, which would be the 2nd Gen. Factory claimed top speed was 132mph and it would do every bit of it.
