Which tablet are y'all currently using for sheet music? Which tablet do you see others using?

Second question...Can I write it off as a business expense?

Apple iPads. I looked and I could not find another decent high-resolution ("retina" or better) tablet outside of Apple, Inc.'s offerings. :man-shrugging:

With sheet music, not only you want high resolution, you also want fast response time -- you don't want a tablet that's "slow" to render the next page after you do whatever you do to "turn page."

Second question...Can I write it off as a business expense?

Depends on your business and what you use the tablet for. Consult the IRS or your tax CPA.

I bought an iPad 13" - not cheap, but it's great for sheet music because of its size. Fast, great screen, and just a bit smaller than a sheet of paper.

I got it used on eBay.

I've tried using the regular 11" iPad, but it's too small to be useful, so I end up resorting to paper. This is for single stave saxophone music - for piano it would be even less useful

              I was only joking

That's really nice. Now I'm tempted to save up for one.

I've tried using a laptop, and they're just too cumbersome.

Of course, I rarely read that much music so it's a complete waste of money for me, but this has never stopped me before....

I don't use the iPad for sheet music, but I have looked into doing it.

The reason I was looking is that I wanted something that could give me the LARGE PRINT version for old men.

Some features you might want to consider

                    • Scan in sheet music and be able to interpret it
                    • Make the font and notes bigger (for old eyes)
                    • Transpose the key
                    • Output pdf
                    • Print sheet music with the adjusted font
                    • Convert sheet music to MIDI and vice versa
                    • Zoom in and out the sheet music

                    Just some things to consider.
