Trans Male Athletes?
-
I’m curious.. Has anyone heard of any stories of girls transitioning and successfully competing in male athletics? Specifically in sports where being a woman would give some advantages. Gymnastics, figure skating, diving, etc… are some examples that I would think women might have some physical advantages…

Funny you should mention this - I was thinking about it over the weekend.
However, some of the sports you mention (gymnastics) are very subjective in the way they're judged.
If you had an objective sport, such as how fast, how far, how high...that might limit choices.
I can see archery and target shooting being available to women, but I wonder if an extra X chromosome would offer an advantage.

The other thing to consider is perception. The trans identities seem to be based on some rather nearly offensive stereotypes of perceptions of the opposite sex. We’ve all seen Mulvaney and his interpretation of a woman… on the other side, trans-men often try to be as “masculine” as possible. They get beard stubble, work out, and love running around without shirts… They tend to try and swear like truck drivers and such.
I wonder if they see gymnastics, figure skating, etc.. as too girly?

Maybe someday phalloplasty regret will be an Olympic sport.
Excellent point! What sport would be good for skinny wrists?
