    Some thoughts...

    1. The first question to Trump was pretty hostile. I would have tried a bit of political jujutsu, but they were 35 minutes late starting, so a pissed Trump answered like a pissed Trump.

    2. Thought Faulkner from FOX was the only journalist engaged in journalism. She wasn't pitching him softballs, she was asking real questions, such as how he was going to address jobs and inflation within the black community. I thought the other questioners were missing opportunities for real, substantial policy answers.

    3. Props to Trump for going. Kamala was invited, but she didn't attend. Trump revealed he had asked for a zoom interview, because he had a rally today. He was told be there in person or no interview. He also said he had been told that Kamala might be participating later on zoom.

The media will spin it as needed....

I saw a reference to the first question. What was it?

Saw the question right after I asked.

I don’t know about black, but I know yellow journalism when I see it.

There are dozens of interviews, news stories and more than one video of Harris taking pride in her Indian heritage.

Now that it's not convenient, she has discarded it.

By the way her birth certificate lists her father's "color or race" as Jamaican.

Remember that meme about Elon Musk being more African than she is? Yeah...

She talked more about her Indian heritage with Mindy Kaling than the average person she talks to?

No, that's just a small sample. She played up her Indian roots to multiple people, including the NYT (IIRC), when it suited her purposes. Now, she's playing up her black side. Witness her speeches over the last few days and her swap to Southern black accent and dialect, then dropping back into her nasal San Francisco accent and dialect.

It's simply another example of her chameleon political nature. She uses whatever she thinks will work at the moment.

                                      Oh no!

I talk up my Swedish side when it’s convenient relevant and my deep (pre-Norman) English roots at other times.

Seriously guys, you need to find something real to worry about.

This is …. wait for it ….

                                      Weird.

                                        Oh no!

I talk up my Swedish side when it’s convenient relevant and my deep (pre-Norman) English roots at other times.

Seriously guys, you need to find something real to worry about.

Do you dip into a Swedish accent at those times?
