There's a new movie titled "Fly Me To The Moon" that premiered this week. Yes it's about the Apollo 11 moon landing. Yes it's a good movie. (And you don't have to worry about any "woke" stuff being retrofitted into the period in this movie.) It didn't occur to me until I see this thread that it's timed to open on the same week and the lunar landing anniversary.

I remember as a five year old being brought into the assembly hall to watch TV by the headteacher. None of us really knew what was happening, but the fact that we got to watch this huge TV at primary school made it into a highly memorable event. Finally, something good about UK schools not breaking up for the summer until late July.

I have mention this before, but I was at a talk by Astronaut Aldrin, and he said that the among the three astronauts, they were 90+% sure that they would make it to the moon, but only about 60% sure that they would make it back safely.
