I donât mind the working man thing at all, but I canât abide the Teamsters. The last thing the Republican Party needs is to be cozying up to these clowns.

Jimmy Hoffa was a strong Republican supporter.
I wonder if heâll be in the back of the hall when the speech is made? Havenât heard from him in years. There were rumours thatâŚnever mind.

Watched part of the speech. I wasnât thrilled.

Well, that didn't go so well. (President Trump continues to be the best campaigner for the Democrats)
Former President Donald Trump told Elon Musk during their Twitter/X conversation on Monday that he supported firing workers who went on strike â and one labor union leader who had Trumpâs back is now calling the threat âeconomic terrorism.â
On Monday, Trump told Musk: âI mean, I look at what you do. You walk in and you just say, âYou wanna quit?â They go on strike â I wonât mention the name of the company â but they go on strike and you say, âThatâs OK. Youâre all gone. Youâre all gone. So, every one of you is gone.â
and
Sean OâBrien, the president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, made waves when he spoke at the Republican National Convention in July despite the partyâs history of not supporting labor unions. It was seen as a play to appeal to blue-collar workers, especially in the Rust Belt. After OâBrienâs appearance, however, he faced a backlash from the Teamsters he led.
In a comment to Politico Playbook in response to Trumpâs comments, OâBrien said: âFiring workers for organizing, striking, and exercising their rights as Americans is economic terrorism.â
