A decent defense against Russia would have to feature competent armies from France, Germany and Great Britain. I find Poland interesting...Also Italy.

There's a fair amount of thought being put into whether the Western nations would be able to defend themselves against an army that thus far has shown to be incapable of achieiving victory over a single, relatively poor eastern European country.
