We have a 3 level townhouse. The stairs are all at the same place, and it’s open. So if you are at the top level, and 3lbs, you could go through the balusters and fall 2 stories…
Karla, seeing the danger, hooked up a sheet between the railing going to the upper level, and the floor going to the middle level.
I’m in the living room doing math games with Finley, and I hear the kitties playing upstairs. Suddenly, I see a flash of black and white out of the corner of my eye… Pistachio had fallen, landed in the sheet, and slid to the main level… She’s now run back upstairs and jumped twice…

FFS, she has to be down to 4-5 lives left…
This afternoon, I noticed that I couldn’t find Pistachio, so I grabbed the food dish and started searching everywhere in the house. No Pistachio. Karla and I had made a large grocery run today, and we started panicking, thinking the car had snuck out around us.
I spent 3 hours searching outside in 108 Real Feel temperatures beating bushes, looking for the damn thing. Then Karla called me. The cat had managed to open one our kitchen cabinets and got stuck inside…
