Since April 11 we have picked up a new Spanish speaking sock almost every day.

We now have about 75 of them.

Who is the creator?

Maybe they’re trying to learn ~~pedantry ~~English.

FWIW, we had hundreds of them at WTF Beta until maybe 6~8 weeks ago. Had to require “admin approval” for all new member registrations to keep them out. (Heck, I will go turn on “require admin approval” for this site now before this gets out of hand.)

They haven't, but the worry is that these bot accounts may act like sleeper agents, that someday they will be activated to wreak havoc.

In any case, I have set registration to require "Admin Approval" for this site, which should stop these socks from successfully registering here.
