Looks to me like the problem wasn’t the stadium or the ticket sellers but the actual show. On a normal show without a bizarrely extended stage and without the tents being set up for the AV guys, that would be an unobstructed view.

There's been a lot of talk in general about the price of concert tickets - my understanding is that the artist doesn't have much say in the process, although that might not be the case with Taylor Swift.

Presumably, the subtext leading to this thread singling out Ms. Swift is her potentially pernicious influence on Trump voters. For some reason, people get really upset by the idea that some slip of a girl might be influencing the easily-led, rather than having them influenced by some horrible old dickhead.

In the days of Albums and CD’s, concert tours were about selling the new album. The artist made some money, but the real cash was selling the recordings.

In today’s streaming world, there’s no money in recording, so they have to make their money in live performances.

I dont know in this case, but I do know that she has been very generous with the people that work for her. For example, at the end of her N. America tour leg, she gave all of the truck drivers who transport equipment etc. a USD$100K bonus (net of taxes, etc). Also, a friend of a friend is the stage erection manager who travels with the tour. He told my friend that she is great to work for and gave him an extremely extremely good bonus. When in the US, her shows were generally Fri/Sat/Sun. She would fly him home on Monday after the stage was taken down, and fly him to the new location on Thursday.

I think quite well. I do not know the exact amount, but sounds like it is a lot of money.

I mean, are there a lot of erections on stage? She’s an attractive girl and some of those outfits are skimpy, but I would think that after a couple of shows it would get a little…
