Douglas Murray, Medhi Hasan on Gaza - Munk Debate

Listened to it last night. It was a strange choice of proposition, one that easily devolved to semantics. "Anti zionism is anti semitism". Like, I don't actually care much about anybody's verbal framing that allows them to answer that question however they want to. A better proposition would have been more to the heart of the contention, such as "Israel is using too much force in response to Oct 7".

There was a Munk debate a few weeks ago on whether Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. It’s on the podcast channel

Again too easily devolved into semantics. I do not care about verbal framings where something is or is not some top-shelf rhetorical impact word. (c.f. the "insurrection") These discussions become a battle over language and top shelf words, and ideas like "too much force in response to Oct 7" become secondary.
