California - the pendulum swings

I very much doubt that we will see a change.

I just cannot conceive how any rational human being can think lawlessness is a cure for social ills.

The leftist talking points is that the lawlessness narrative is a fabrication of the right, and most of them are sufficiently insulated that no lawlessness hits them personally.

Link to videoCrime statistics are crap these days. Over 1/3 of major cities aren’t reporting to the FBI. On top of that, DA’s aren’t prosecuting, and police are not pursuing or arresting many criminals. Look at the video I posted with the kids in Chicago. There were no arrests there. Was that a crime? Sure seemed like it to me. Look at the riots around the Whitehouse last week. Statistically, no crime committed…

They are also comparing to the high crime rates post-Floyd/COVID.

And there have been a number of cities that have back tracked on their pro crime policies when they backfired.

Oakland continues to deteriorate:
Link to videoThis was across the street from the In-N-Out location that closed, the first In-N-Out location to close in the history of the franchise. This was a flash mob of about 70 people. The cops took several hours to respond. Zero arrests were made. There's your crime statistics.

Did you notice that the kids weren’t even rushing? They took their time and didn’t feel any urgency to get out of there. It’s like they knew nothing was going to happen.
