I know it’s a cliché to talk about the Trump years as a series of TV seasons, each wackier than the next. But having Steve Bannon, Super Patriot
, Bane of the Chinese
, Keeper of the MAGA Faith, and Watcher of the Wall, arrested on a Chinese billionaire’s superyacht for bilking money from people who actually believed his GoFundMe site to build the border wall was on the up-and-up was just too good.
But to have him arrested by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at the precise moment the country is freaking out over Trump’s war—or “war” —on the Post Office? Chef’s kiss. Someone deserves an Emmy.

Anyone know if he’s still scheduled to speak at the convention Tuesday? Or have they replaced him with Roger Stone or the demon semen doctor?

I think Biden is taking his place.
Poor sod, he'll think he's still at the DNC...

Hey, at least it was original. We can't all be born with the transcendent wit (or modesty) of D'Oh.

Some might say the Orioles.

Bannon seemed smarter than this. It’s amazing how amateurish all this was. Read the indictment. It quotes the incriminating texts with all the ‘LOLs’ and everything.

I was wrong though, this ended really well. With a Bannon perp walk.

I'm surprised too that it was so blatant and clumsy.

Maybe he's got personal demons of some sort. That other Breitbart douchebag who used to be held up as some kind of genius lost his livelihood from making inappropriate and rather predictable remarks about young boys.

One would think he would know he has a full time target on his back (Which he earns knowingly) and is smarter than that but some people just think the law doesn’t apply to them.

NY State charges too now. He could get 5-15.
The indictment, unsealed Thursday morning, charges Mr. Bannon with two felony counts of money laundering, two counts of conspiracy and a felony count of scheming to defraud in connection with his work with We Build the Wall Inc., a nonprofit fund-raising operation set up to help fulfill Mr. Trump’s promise to construct a barrier along the U.S.-Mexico border.
If Mr. Bannon is convicted, and a judge imposes the maximum sentence on the most serious charge, he could face between five and 15 years in prison. We Build the Wall was also charged.

Can't help but think it's part of the orchestrated effort to crucify Trump and all things associated with him.

I think you have the causal chain backwards. As a simple matter of fact, Trump has associated with a lot of con men and grifters.

And so have most other politicians.
- How many lobbyists are there in Washington vs. number of elected representatives?
- A Senator's wealth increases at an average of over 15% per year.
Good living and sunshine, I guess.
Point is, they're all crooked. Every one of them that have been on the Hill for any appreciable amount of time. Anybody who can ascend to the Oval Office has already sold his sold a few times.
Selective outrage in this case may be warranted, but it would be nice if you occasionally were outraged by the harm your folks are doing to the nation.
