      Good piece. Lots going on. I have held the belief that the return to the classroom has been window dressing and that we will soon see mass school closings again. But the fiction of reopening had to be played out in order for the closings to be accepted.

        Good piece. Lots going on. I have held the belief that the return to the classroom has been window dressing and that we will soon see mass school closings again. But the fiction of reopening had to be played out in order for the closings to be accepted.

        Maybe.

        The charter schools operate under a little different set of rules. They haven't been sending entire classrooms home. They monitor the class closely after a case, but they carry on. Believe it or not, they have not had a big outbreak, even though the state has been pretty hot.
