Proud - Day 5
-
Meet Karon Fisher
Just 30 days ago, Karon (20) ran over a 64 year old man at high velocity, proceeded to back up over him again, dragging him about 10 feet. Then she got out of the car, straddled him, kissed him, then stabbed him with a knife a dozen times or so.
What a brave XY Woman.

Transgender woman accused of brutally murdering stranger says she has no regrets and 'God saved' her
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A transgender woman accused of violently killing a stranger spoke only to ABC13 during a jailhouse interview with reporter Brooke Taylor.
Karon Fisher, 20, said she had zero regrets about the attack, which officials have said is one of Houston's worst murders caught on camera.
The video of the crime gained national attention because of its brutality. It shows Fisher running over a man twice before she jumped on top of him, kissed him, and repeatedly stabbed him in broad daylight.
During the interview at Harris County Jail, cameras and cellphones were not allowed. Taylor and Fisher were separated by a small room with just a glass window.
Fisher was aware of ABC13's previous reports and had seen the chilling video, yet she said she had zero remorse.
The victim, 65-year-old Steven Anderson, retired after working for MD Anderson for over 20 years.
Fisher said the murder was completely random, and it could have been anyone that day. Detectives said Anderson was walking to get his mail when he was killed.
Fisher told ABC13 she remembers the day clearly, standing on top of his body and feeling as if she knew him, though she said she had never interacted with him before.
She acknowledged a history of mental health her whole life. She said she came out as transgender at 16 years old and was prostituting. She said she remembers being young and crying at motels, thinking she had to sell her body for a place to stay.

And y'all want to keep that alive for 50 years at $100/day? That's $1,825,000
In today's dollars. How many children won't have enough food on their table, because we spent money on this thing?
Give it a fair trial, convict it, cut this cancer out of the societal body and let us carry on.

Those numbers are prorated by prisoner. You could kill XY right now, and the prison will still have the same prison, the same cost of utilities, the same staffing expenses, and even the same food costs. All that would happen is each of the other prisoners prorated cost would go up $.32 per day.

Or maybe work on better programs to help get the stupid kids to stop making the same frigging mistakes over & over and lower the recidivism rates?
I don’t particularly care about XY here except for feeling regret that our mental health system failed the poor kid 5-6 years ago, making him think his obvious mental health problems would be solved by pretending to be a girl. But as a whole, yeah, it’s time for the death penalty to go. I’d rather see a few people that perhaps should die be allowed to live than see the other.

You can't lower recidivism rates unless you change the culture.
Of course, in this case we aren't talking about recidivism. We're talking cold-blooded murder of an innocent person, with firmly established guilt.
If you've got a weasel killing chickens in your chickenhouse, you don't try to understand it, you don't try to rehabilitate it, you kill it. Once you kill it, it is no longer a threat to any present chickens or future chickens.
Vinyl is final. Well, so is Death. At least for the unsaved, should he suddenly get Death Row Religion (most do).
